Happy birthday Woyane

     As we all commemorate the birth day of Woyane Lekatit ( 11/76) with heartfelt gratitude to all our heroines and heroes every year we are reminded that the hard and bitter    struggle the people of Tigray hade to go through for the betterment of us all. Obviously thanks to the few visionary woyenti of tigray that started this revolution at the outskirt of western tigray at Dedebit 32 years ago with the determination of their ability to lead and mobilized the mass under their leadership for better tomorrow. During the struggle to free our people we tigriyans back home remembered the hard ship and the scarifies our Tegadelties hade made on the earlier days of the revolution, but they new that they have to be determent to by-pass all the obstacles to achieve what our people rightfully deserve. The early years of the revolution our people have faced so many ups and down of their struggle fighting the DERGs on one hand and EDU,EPRP, on the other .but to the amusement of the so called military experts around the world the small but well trained well organized, disciplined and determined TPLF fighters with it people as a backbone have crushed the DERG, With its largest mechanized army in Africa in 1991.in doing so the nation hade established a multiparty system that accommodated every nation and nationalities by mutual respect, unity by diversity from every corner of the country.

     Since 1991 our country hade made so many changes in developing democratic institutions developing the nation’s infrastructure, Health and Education through out the country. it doesn’t need to be exaggerated by any one it is out there to see with open eyes. but again for the vocal Diaspora and remnant of the Dergs are propagating hatred against Tigriyans as well as lobbying at every level of western government offices to discredit our countries achievement of democracy, the set up of regional administration, good governance and infrastructural development that we are achieving through out the nation by chauvinists and backward so called intellectuals mouthpiece like Ethiomedia.com and company by calling the government a minority ethnic TPLF government. I wonder what kind of democratic right of a nation and nationalities as well as individual rights they know when they insult the whole Tigriyan population. (One day these sites will be healed accountable by the people of Tigray)

   Here we are in Feb 18/2007 ( Lekatit 11/1999 E.C ) celebrating the year with hopes for peace, unity by diversity, equality and good governance through out our nation, we will never forget the Gallant suns and daughters from each house hold of tigray that paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we all can live in a democratic and free nation. For that we salute our martyrs for the sacrifices the made for us with the highest honors they deserve. We will keep honoring them every year for eternity.
